Axolotl

The axolotl is an amazing creature that looks like a perpetually smiling aquatic dragon with fluffy gills. It has a unique ability to regenerate, allowing it to regrow lost limbs and even parts of internal organs. This neotenic ambystoma, meaning it retains larval features throughout its life, lives exclusively in the freshwaters of Mexico.
