Privacy Policy
Effective October 29, 2026. This policy covers the DrawLesson website and iOS app. Contact DrawLesson through the support form for questions or data requests.
Information we use
- When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the account identifier and profile details that provider shares with us, such as your name or email address. Apple may provide a private relay email address. We store session information to keep you signed in.
- When you use AI drawing features, we process the prompts, images and generated results needed to provide the request. Saved work, lessons, credits and generation history may be tied to your account. Drawings you keep only on your device remain on that device unless you choose a feature that uploads them.
- Apple handles App Store payments. Subscription status is checked through RevenueCat when the subscription feature is configured. When you request an optional rewarded ad, Google Mobile Ads and its consent tools may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics. If you allow tracking in the iOS permission prompt, an identifier may be used across apps and websites to show more relevant ads. Declining tracking does not prevent you from using DrawLesson or requesting an ad.
- When you contact support, we store the email address, topic and message you submit so we can answer you.
Why and where
We use this information to provide sign-in, generate and save drawing content, manage credits and purchases, show opted-in rewarded ads, prevent abuse, and answer support requests. Cloudflare hosts the website, database and uploaded content. AI requests may be sent to our image-generation provider; subscription and advertising features use RevenueCat, Apple and Google services as applicable. Their own privacy notices also apply to the data they process.
AI processing and third-party sharing
When you explicitly agree and request AI processing in the iOS app, your description, selected reference image and step images needed for narration leave your device. Depending on the service configuration, image processing is performed by APIMart (api.apimart.ai), or sent through the DrawLesson AI gateway to its configured third-party image model service. APIMart processes the images used for step explanations. Images may contain faces or other personal information. Upload only content you have permission to share. Choosing not to share does not prevent local drawing or camera tracing.
We store the uploaded inputs and generated results needed for your jobs and saved tutorials in Cloudflare storage. They can be removed with account deletion. AI providers receive the content required to perform the request. We do not promise that provider copies are instantly deleted or never retained: provider-side retention and any training use must be verified against the active provider agreement. Do not upload sensitive content if these terms do not meet your needs. Contact support to request provider-specific information or deletion assistance.
Website usage and purchase intent
We use self-hosted Umami to count anonymous visits and fixed purchase actions, such as viewing plans, clicking a purchase button, requiring sign-in, creating checkout, returning from cancelled checkout, or encountering a checkout error. Events include only the page path, offer type, price, currency, credit count, test-mode flag and fixed status fields. Account-page purchase events do not include account identifiers or order identifiers. We do not send uploaded pictures, drawing content, email addresses, checkout URLs or raw error messages in these events. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable these browser events. Microsoft Clarity provides masked heatmaps and session recordings on eligible public pages; account and payment pages are excluded from recordings. Purchase clicks indicate interest; actual payment is confirmed separately by our payment service.
Retention and your choices
Account data and saved content remain while the account is active. Support requests remain while needed to handle the request and related follow-up. Operational records may be kept where necessary for security, transactions or legal obligations. You can delete your account or ask about your data through support. You can remove local drawings from your device. App Store subscriptions must be canceled separately in Apple Subscriptions.
We may update this policy when the service changes. The date above identifies this version.
